Willie Lane, a Lummi Nation member, has been an advocate for people

in recovery since finding his freedom from addiction in 1986.

For 37 years, Willie has provided a safe and sober space at his annual 4th of July

Fellowship Celebrations, drawing in hundreds of attendees every year to experience

a sense of community in sobriety, Coast Salish style salmon barbecue, and live music.

In 2022, the recovery community showed its gratitude by donating money, materials

and labor to construct a stage on Willie’s property. Tragically, Willie and his

partner Aline lost everything to a house fire in March. They both suffered significant

burns while escaping with just their dog and kittens, and had no insurance to help.

We’re calling on friends, family, and anyone that has been touched by Willie’s kind

nature to give back to an extraordinary person who has given so much to others.

Your support will help recreate a space for future recovery events, and assist Willie

and Aline in repairing and rebuilding a place that they can once again call home.
